Hi D & J! I see you decided to do the dismal swamp. That was a neat trip but we dinged the prop going south on it. We did get it repaired in Elizabeth City, where you stopped previosly. The swamp was shallow and we were misled as to when the northern lock opened so we kinda rushed and sucked up log debris from the bottom. The 85 year old lady that owned to EC marina suggested we might try using one prop as using both props seems to suck up the junk right up in the middle of both props. I think I recall that you have one prop so these comments are probably moot. In any case we wish you well on the rest of your trip. The weather has upped to mid 80's here now.
Dick, Yes, the Dismal Swamp was lovely. We took our time and hit a few sahllow spots. We have two props. The weather here today is 91 but not too humid. See you soon. Judi
